The Government of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus have designated BAFRA to be the very first Tourism Area on the Island. Situated on the East Coast and aprox 25km from the bustling city of Famagusta. BAFRA is undergoing major changes in infrastructure by receiving huge investments from Government and Private Sources in order to provide 5* hotels and leisure facilities. These hotels are set along the 5 km of unspoilt coastline with white sandy beach and crystal clear waters making it a natural paradise for tourists.

KAYA ARTEMIS RESORT with 1,400 Beds opening April 2007
PINE BAY CYPRUS RESORT with 1,200 Beds opening 2007
LIMAK BABYLON RESORT with 1,250 Beds opening 2008
HOTEL COLOSSEUM with 1,500 Beds opening 2008
NOAH'S ARC RESORT with 1,250 Beds opening 2008.

The first of the hotels scheduled to open is the KAYA ARTEMIS RESORT and is a unique design of Romanesque Architecture hosting Europe's biggest Casino which is situated in the basement covering an area of 10 Donums (over 3 Acres). The main structure consists of aprox. 156 Rooms combined with a number of Queen and King Suites with a further 500 Garden Rooms all furnished and finished to 5* standards.

Each of these hotels will provide their own 5* facilities, including, fitness centres and Spa's traditional Turkish Hamam and A La Carte Restaurants in fact eating choices in BAFRA will be the best in Cyprus.

HOW TO GET THERE
Flights from UK to Larnaka are plentiful via Cyprus Airlines and British Airways plus many Charter Airlines operate throughout peak season and now the border crossing is open at Famagusta it couldn't be easier. The drive time is aprox 1 hour 20 minutes from Larnaka, alternatively the drive time for arrivals into Ercan via Cyprus Turkish Airlines or Turkish Airlines is reduced to 30 minutes with no border crossings.
